Know My Name: A Memoir

An artist and writer, Chanel Miller grew up outside of San Francisco in Palo Alto, California. A dedicated older sister and devoted daughter, Miller is coming into adulthood just seven months after graduating from college when she is raped while attending a party at Stanford University. Miller struggles to navigate the confusion, anger, and shame that consumes her in the wake of her rape. She states that “it was never in [her] nature to lean on others” (31).
